Ever notice how sometimes you get so caught up in looking for one thing you miss something else that is even better? That is what happened here. I was so busy photographing and looking at the flower that I missed the little fellow to the right of the flower! Only when I got home and was able to look at the pictures did I even see him. I had to do some research to find out that he is a southern two-lined salamander. I can tell you that he is VERY small since the flower is quite small. I believe the flower is a “common violet” even though these were white. For anyone who wants to tell me what it is, the picture was taken near the horse camp in the Cataloochee Valley part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in April.
Some of you have seen the valance I made
We decided to move them from the living room to the kitchen/dining room. Then we realized we could use the same pattern for the other window in the room. Plus I was able to make them with scraps I already had so it only cost me time (alot) and not money. Sweet!
Recently a Facebook group I am in had a post about this blanket. I liked the blanket but really loved the flowers so I thought I would share her with my fellow crocheters. She goes by Pinkfluffywarior and appears to be in the UK. Her patterns and pictures are great so check her out.
I am thinking about making a blanket for my new king bed. I have found 2 designs that really grab me but can’t decide which one. So I decided to ask for you opinions as to which one is your favorite. I am not looking at the color of the squares since I already have that figured out. I just know what ever I make will be a statement piece and probably draw business in the future.
I can’t wait to see what you say!
Introducing a new cocoon sleep sack design “Sunflower.”
I wanted to add to my line of sleep sacks or cocoons (as I prefer to call them) for sale. So I went with a flower since it is summer. I also think a rose would be beautiful and would make one as a custom order. In the past, I have done ladybugs, dogs, ice cream and others. Let me know what you think of the design. I think these make great baby shower gifts because they are different and one of a kind.
The beautiful reborn doll was done by Jenni Sholter. I call her Sarah. She is 3 to 6 month size. Most of the cocoons I make are preemie and newborn but I thought she deserved something to sleep in.
